Workplace Safety and Health Order, 2009

This course aims to provide learners with
good understanding of Brunei Darussalam’s Workplace Safety and Health Legislations.

A COURSE mandated by the Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA) OF BRUNEI DARUSSALAM.

This course is designed to ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Order, 2009, and associated regulations, by equipping learners with the knowledge to navigate legal requirements effectively.

– Understand the key provisions of WSHO, 2009, and its regulations.
– Recognise the duties and responsibilities of various stakeholders.
– Identify penalties for non-compliance.
– Understand key requirements for risk management.

This course is essential for anyone involved in the implementation, oversight, or management of workplace safety and health practices in Brunei Darussalam, including:

– Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officers
– Employers, Occupiers, and Principals
– Employees and Persons at Work
– Safety Managers and Supervisors
– HR and Compliance Officers

Important Note:

Upon completing this course, eligible learners will be able to sit for an examination with SHENA. This examination is necessary for those applying to renew their status as registered Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officers for their respective organisations.

The examination, which lasts approximately 2 hours, consists of two sections: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and Short Answer Questions, with a total of 50 marks available.

Completing the course will prepare learners to successfully navigate this examination as part of their certification or renewal process with SHENA.
